Secure Temple Sinai’s Future with a planned gift or endowment

Jewish tradition teaches that one of our key duties is to make the world a better place for future generations.  The simple truth is membership dues alone cannot prepare us for the future needs of our Temple.  It is essential we plan ahead and create endowments to keep our Jewish community strong for generations.  Click here for more information on Temple Sinai’s Endowment Fund mission statement and ways to create planned gifts to benefit the Temple.

Creating a gift now will secure the stability and continuation of Temple Sinai providing for the education of our children, caring for our elderly and assuring that the Jewish traditions and culture we hold dear will live on and flourish.  Whether you use a will or other estate planning vehicle your generosity can do a world of good.  The Tidewater Jewish Foundation planning process Begin the conversation about how you can Create a Jewish Legacy to secure Temple Sinai’s future by contacting Philip Rovner,  757-965-6109.

TEMPLE SINAI
CREATE A JEWISH LEGACY PLAN
ENDOWMENT FUND MISSION STATEMENT

For over 5000 years the legacy of each generation of the Jewish people has been to sustain our heritage forward to subsequent generations.  And for over 50 years Temple Sinai has actively and successfully supported that heritage.

Temple Sinai has and continues to be the place where our Congregation can gather to worship
God in accordance with the faith of Judaism; to inspire and teach Jewish spiritual values; to cultivate a love and understanding of the Jewish heritage; and to provide a joyous atmosphere in which this can be accomplished.

The mission of the Temple Sinai Endowment Fund is to provide a source of perpetual financial support to allow Temple to continue to exist and function into the future – to promote the legacy of each generation of the Jewish people.

“You shall Love Adonai your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your might.
Take to heart these instructions with which I charge you this day.
Impress them upon your children.”

Just as our ancestors built for us, now it is our turn. We should each feel compelled and obligated to securing the legacy, each within our individual ability to donate – be it one brick or a wheel barrow full of bricks.

The synagogue is the most important institution of Jewish life. Temple Sinai is where we worship, educate ourselves and our children and grandchildren, support each other in times of joy and hardship, celebrate life-cycle events and join together for cultural, spiritual and social functions.

We encourage each of you to meet privately with our experts at the Tidewater Jewish Foundation.  They can help provide information and options that can be tailored to your situation, from the smallest gift to detailed estate planning options.

Support the Temple Sinai Endowment Fund in creating a strong Jewish Legacy for our children and grandchildren.   Only you can ensure that the world they will inherit will contain the Jewish institutions which have made our lives meaningful.
